This brief analysis of the Italian vineyard is useful to give us vine nursery workers an idea of the sizes involved in the current renewal trends of each viticultural area, which translate into demand for rootlings (tab.4.21 Reorganisation of the Italian vineyard).

 

 

The renewal follows EU incentives, FEOGA, in the years 1968-74 and those for restructuring for the years 2000-2006.  These subsidies have led to much viticulture of the same age as can be seen in table 4.22 Age of the vineyards and following chart.
