3.a. Wineries and average surface area per region
Today research is aimed at reducing production costs, also through the expansion of average winery surface areas that, according to the 2010 census, average out at 1.6 ha (tab.4.18 Wineries and average surface area per region). It should be noted that the statistical universes have changed, in fact in the last survey surface areas below 1000 m2, considered for “personal consumption”, were not included in the census.
