Only two GIs are interesting in order of importance: Isola dei Nuraghi which covers the whole regional territory and Colli del Limbara which is located in the most interesting enological part of Sardinia (Gallura).

The latter, because of the limitations to the name of grape, is also suited for the valorization of some autochthonous ampelographic realities.
